Leasing Coordinator –  Minneapolis, MN


  • Perform employment and housing history verifications for rental applicants
  • Assess background results when returned by the screening company
  • Make final housing decision based on Hornig Companies criteria and ensuring consistency and compliance with Fair Housing rules
  • Confirm all applications have been executed and follow-up has been done for completion as needed
  • Write and send denial letters to applicants
  • Generate and confirm accuracy of electronic leases
  • Communicate with future residents regarding move in balance, deposit due, and instructions for payment
  • Ensure move in inspection forms are received from new residents
  • Filing, scanning, and uploading documents in Yardi as necessary



Assistant Property Manager – Prospect Park, Minneapolis


  • Facitlitate the leasing of the property
  • Answer phones and greet incoming traffic in a friendly, professional manner
  • Build relationships and maintain effective communication with staff and vendors
  • Provide outstanding customer service to our residents and new applicants
  • Coordinate the move-in/move-out process
  • Provide administrative support to the Property Manager
  • Maintain timely communication with staff and vendors
  • Assisting in collecting & depositing rents as well as follow up on delinquency
  • Communicate with residents regarding repairs and other matters in a caring, compassionate manner that upholds Hornig Companies’ customer service reputation as well as Fair Housing guidelines


Front Desk Receptionist –  Minneapolis, MN


  • Answer phones and complete/route calls as appropriate in a professional manner, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
  • Monitor main office voicemail and route appropriately
  • Monitor and respond to emails as appropriate in a professional manner, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
  • Open and distribute mail daily including opening, date stamp and log incoming rent checks

Building and Grounds Technician – Roving, Mpls Suburbs


· Apartment and Grounds Upkeep:

· Work at multiple properties in the Minneapolis/St. Paul suburban areas with a rotating schedule.

· Assist experienced Maintenance Technicians in the completion of their preventive maintenance, repair, and upkeep of building maintenance work orders.

· Operate small machines in the course of building and grounds maintenance

· Building common area cleaning and light repair

· Cleanout of units after residents vacate. May include lifting and transporting heavy items

· Deliver notices and other items throughout the Twin Cities metro area

· Seasonal outdoor maintenance including shoveling, using a snowblower, salting, mowing, shrub trimming, weeding, and brush clean-up

· Promote safety and be efficient in work practices




Roving Maintenance Technicians (2) – Minneapolis/ St. Paul, MN


· General repairs to ensure each unit is up to company standards before inspections are completed and/or new residents move in

· Minor appliance repair as well as replacement of existing low-risk electrical.

· Hands-on work of all building repairs, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep of the projects

· Regularly address plumbing issues such as leaking faucets, toilets, and other fixtures

· Maintain and repair plumbing throughout multiple properties

· Communicate with residents regarding repairs using excellent customer service

· Promote safety and be efficient in work practices




Maintenance Technician - Chaska


· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and hands-on repair apartment maintenance issues like:

· Plumbing issues such as leaking faucets, toilets, and other fixtures

· Repair or replace blinds, closet doors

· Low-risk electrical repair or replacement of lighting, ceiling fans, smoke detectors

· Minor sheetrock repair and repair of building construction such as broken windows and locks

· Minor caulking of tubs and sinks

· Minor appliance repair

· Provide expertise on building repair, concentrating on preventing future maintenance concerns in historical and aging buildings

· Communicate with residents regarding repairs in a caring, compassionate manner that upholds Hornig Companies customer service reputation as well as Fair Housing guidelines







Caretaker – various locations in the Minneapolis/ St. Paul metro area


· Showing and leasing available apartments

· Maintaining the cleanliness of common areas

· Apartment turnover cleaning

· Seasonal grounds keeping

· Acting as the eyes and ears of the property
